In December 2008, we launched a new website for
optical company SVS Vision. As a result of our on-page internet marketing strategies, SVS now ranks on Google and Yahoo! page 1 for "optical centers" behind just JCPenney , Sears and D.O.C (now owned by PearleVision). As importantly, the SVS website is getting organic traffic from more than 1,100 key phrases such as
prescription safety eyewear thanks to an
extensive keyword analysis and implementation on the new site.
Thanks to Cathy Walker,
SVS Vision's VP of Marketing for the following quote:
"Clarity Quest replaced our outdated website with one that is wonderful! Response has been greater than anticipated. We are hearing from our customers more than ever before and they are telling us that the look, feel and ease of use have helped them in making buying decisions. Everyone on the Clarity Quest team is a true pro and we look forward to a long-term relationship with them."Labels: ann arbor, Internet marketing, marketing, michigan, mt clemens, svs vision

Using local geography in your online key phrases can be an extremely effective tactic when your business wants to rank for competitive keywords. By exploring local search, small business owners and marketers can benefit from both direct lead generation and general brand awareness.
Recent research by the Kelsey Group reported that 70% of Americans consult the web before making local buying decisions, while 36% of search engine queries now request local results. We use geographically-rich terms for many of our clients. Vision Computer Solutions would have a tough time ranking for "computer repair" but ranks on Google page one for "Michigan computer repair".

Nielsen Online's October 2007 reports show that social networking sites and blogs are still expanding. Social networking giant MySpace drew 19% more unique users between October 2006 and October 2007, and Facebook grew 125% in the same period. Linked In - the business networking site - grew by 189%.
If someone in your company does not have time to blog, then at the very least make sure every employee has a LinkedIn profile that points back to your corporate website.
